Today I thought I would try to make some dinner rolls. How hard could it be?
A little too hard for me I guess. I felt a little too confident with the first batch I made and somehow skipped putting the eggs in the mixture. I didn't notice I forgot them until after I had kneaded the dough. So I piled the dough on a cookie sheet and made some gross bread.
The second batch was a little more successful. I included the eggs. Now I am just waiting for them to rise and put them in the oven. But... I just realized that I forgot the salt.
I'm trying to learn how to cook and today wasn't very encouraging. Maybe I should just stick to frozen rhodes rolls.

you're brave. I have yet to attempt bread. yeast and I don't go together. kudos to you for getting out there and going all for it with the bread recipes!! love you!
ah you can do it! It's just some days are like that.
Homemade rolls are hard work... The attempt itself is worth accolades. But I agree, I will just stick with the Rhodes :-)
failed dough of all sorts is sometimes redeemed by turning it into a "scone." Well, of COURSE deep frying in fat will fix it >:)
Carli,
I can sympathize, I've had those days. This last batch of bread I let rise too long and it fell, arg...
I have an easy breadstick recipe you could try. No eggs required. :)
your good! I think i've only made one batch of rolls that were good.. and that was at the class where i learned to make them and they lady teaching pretty much helped me do all of it! haha.. yeast is hard!
